I particularly liked Kaleb in this. His devotion to Madison was wonderful, as was John's to Rodney. :-D

Really nice story. I have to be honest and say I was surprised where it ended, it seems like there's more of this story waiting to be told. I really like the loyalty John shows to Rodney. Well done <3

Thank you! And I think there's definitely a possibility for further exploration in the story line but I felt that was a good stasis stopping point for the time being.

Interesting take on Madison and how she came to be! I would be curious to read more in the universe; I'd love to know what happens when John and Rodney do get back to Atlantis and are in contact with Jeannie again.

Thank you. I wanted Madison to still be a McKay, and to kind of have a connection to Rodney (even if he doesn't want to be a parent). It would be interesting to have another contact with Jeannie, so we'll see how that goes. :)

I love that John was willing to leave Atlantis for Rodney; that kind of devotion makes me feel all melty. Same with Kaleb -- his love for Madison shown through, and it was wonderful to read. Especially since Jeannie kind of just tossed them both aside.

Fascinating idea, though Jeannie made me angry :P I totally did not see the twist of Rodney + Sam = Madison. Totally blindsided me :D I'd be interested to read more in this 'verse.

Devotion is something I love to read/write in fic. I love it when a character is willing to do the extraordinary for someone they love. And as for Madison, I still wanted her to be biologically related to Rodney (which ruled out Jeannie as her mother), so one night my brain latched onto Rodney's canon fascination with Sam and AU parentage was born into my mind!

I enjoyed this very much. John's devotion, the surprise parentage, Rodney trying to do the right thing and Kaleb. Kaleb was awesome.

This was a really interesting story because of how the plot unfolds in unexpected ways. I really liked John and Rodney together and how John felt Rodney out when Rodney was emotionally restrained and distant. I also found myself liking Kaleb as Madison's dedicated father. :)
